New Opportunity with UK Supermarket's Zebra MC3300

Southern Retail Systems Ltd, UK distributor of UltimaCase a division of Agora Edge, was recently approached by Zebra Technologies and Solutions Partner, Zetes.  The companies needed to overcome a challenge with deploying Zebra’s MC3300 into the frozen Distribution Centres for one of the UK’s leading supermarket chains.

To overcome this challenge, UltimaCase needed to develop an OP Case for the MC3300 that would not inhibit use of the device in the freezer Distribution Centre by operators wearing gloves.

Fortunately, the design team at Agora have a wealth of experience in this arena and were able to design a working solution that was almost perfect on the first attempt and only a minor amendment was needed to get to 100%.

Following some field tests to make certain that the results were consistent, and the operating duration of the device was increased substantially, an order was placed for the cases to cover the entire MC3300 device. These were manufactured very quickly due to a tight time frame and deployed across the Distribution Centres.
